What People Say

Hear from the smallholder farmers, partners, and communities whose lives have been transformed by BLiTS programs.

When BLiTS came into my life in 2025, they changed the way I saw agriculture and my community, “What I once considered challenges and setbacks became the very opportunities that transformed my life.”
Before engaging with BLiTS, I viewed the limited access to agricultural inputs and services in surrounding villages as a major obstacle for farmers and youth. Through BLiTS mentorship and market linkage support, I began to recognize the growing demand for agricultural inputs among smallholder farmers in my village Igenge, and other surrounding villages of Wangigombe district such as  Idenyimembe, and Isimike villages.
By acting as the vital link between Nanenane Agribusiness and General Supply (NAGS) and smallholders, I built a foundation of mutual growth, this linkage served as a transformation journey and within a short period, i served approximately 520 smallholder farmers with agricultural inputs and advisory support. My reliability, commitment, and close relationship with farming communities positioned me as a trusted local service provider and village advisor. My results-driven approach has attracted significant interest from international and local development partners

The radio programs BLiTS implemented reached far beyond the training rooms. Thousands of farmers who never attended sessions learned about new practices, market prices, and financial services. The impact was enormous.

Our farmer organization joined the FAIM project and accessed TZS 18 million in input loans collectively. We signed a forward maize contract and sold our produce at a guaranteed price. BLiTS changed how we do agriculture

BLiTS helped our women's group access entrepreneurship training and a saving scheme. We registered as a cooperative and obtained a loan. Today we run a certified agro-processing business that serves three districts.

Before BLiTS came, I was struggling with just 3 bags per acre. After their training and the input linkage to NMB Bank, I now harvest up to 18 bags. My family's life has completely changed — we built a new home last year.
